Are Predefined Search Engine Optimization Service Packages All Just SEO Scams? While predefined Search Engine Optimization service packages are a main tool of scam SEO Providers, they are not all scams. A great many SEO Providers offer such service packages because they don't actually understand Search Engine Optimization. They use information from Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, and personal opinion to create a skewed idea of what SEO is really about. This means those that offer predefined Search Engine Optimization packages should either be avoided or used with extreme caution.
The main reason for all of this is that True Search Engine Optimization isn't formulaic in nature, it requires an individualistic approach. Each unique website and situation will typically require different tools and results from all of the others. It does happen that different websites can require similar things be done, but that is very different from them needing the exact same thing. A perfect example of that is doing Keyword Research. Most websites could benefit from doing Keyword Research to make sure everything is current and being used properly. Offering to do Keyword Research by itself as a predefined SEO service would not be an issue. Offering a highly needed individual service is not the same as offering a standardized package of such services. The issue comes when SEO Providers start combining things people need with things they have no use for at all. As an example, imagine going to a grocery store and them offering whole shopping carts full of food for you to take home. All you had to do is pay the price listed on the cart and you can take all of the food. We're not saying that you phoned ahead and placed an order. What's in the shopping basket was defined by the people at the grocery store based on their own ideas. Just as with predefined SEO services you will end up getting whatever they decided you should have. Most likely everything will be things that make them the most money, but that you may not even like or are able to use. Why would you want to spend your money on something that really has nothing to do with you in the first place? Even though it may save you some time, in the end it will only add more hassle and likely be a waste of money. Where this gets really sticky is that there are many SEO Providers who offer predefined SEO services because they think they are helping you. They believe that because the package is hugely beneficial to them (or brings them huge profits), that it has to be of benefit to you too. Like many other people in every profession, they have totally overlooked you in favor of their own skewed idea about you. This is something I see all the time from both sides. You would be amazed at how many people build websites without any regard for those the website is supposed to serve. The website builders are so blinded by their potential profit that they forget to actually build the website so it is of use to other people. With all of this in mind offering predefined SEO services may not always be a scam. However, it is probably in your best interest not to work with those who do it. The risk of them selling you things you have no need of is simply too great. Plus, there is a very good chance they don't actually understand what they are doing. If they did, they would not be offering such services in the first place. If you really must work with them, make sure to ask a lot of questions. Make sure what they are really doing is what they are supposed to be doing. Never assume for a moment that they have your best interest in mind because even if they say they do, they may not.
